Special Projects
All donations are put into a project fund. When this fund is big enough we discuss with our partner organization in Nepal what is needed most.
Action Volunteer Alliance is a Canadian Registered Charity all donations will be issued a tax receipt.
At the moment we are trying to raise funds for several things.
AVA is currently raising money to build 6 clean toilets at a government school in the Kathmandu Valley. By supplying clean toilets for the children we are helping to stop the spread of diarrhea,
dysentery, typhoid and cholera amung other life threatening diseases and conditions. This will truly help save lives. We need to raise $3500.00 CND to complete this project.
We are raising money to help build a water reserve in a rural villiage in Nepal. Every year at the end of the dry season there is a shortage of water which lasts until Monsoon starts again. Can you imagine not having any running water? They need it to bath with, cook with and of course to drink. Please help by donating any extra money you have to make life easier for these people. This project has been completed! Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible.
We are also raising money to put towards our regular projects. This includes our building, conservation, orphanage, teaching and health post programs. We need to pay for the supplies for the building and conservation work and we donate money to the orphanages and schools where we send volunteers. We also help pay for supplies at the health posts such as clean gloves and syringes.
We are keeping our prices as low as possible so everyone has the chance to experience volunteering in a foreign country. Unfortunately this means we don't have any extra money to put towards starting new projects so any donation is very appreciated. A little can really go a long way towards making a less fortunate child smile!
